Features of Our Fiberglass Bumper Pads
For 1970 to 1974 Porsche 914s and 914-6s, and later 914s that were retrofitted to the 70-74 bumpers. Made in hand-laid fiberglass. Parts are bolt-on replacements, requiring no modifications to the car. Molded in black gelcoat, primered & painted in matte black paint. Many customers use our parts as-is, while some paint to match body color for a smoother, monochromatic look. Includes specially molded mounting features with threaded, insert-molded fasteners and stainless-steel bolts, chosen for strength and corrosion resistance. Our fiberglass parts cost much less than original replacement parts, as well as superior surface smoothness and dimensional stability. Fiberglass parts are much more resistant to moisture, corrosion, and the sun’s ultraviolet light compared to rubber. Together, both parts weigh about 4 pounds less than rubber bumper pads. Examples of these parts have been in use on 914s since 1996.
